Yes!!!!! The season 2 premiere of Once A Upon A Time will be on this Sunday at 7pm on ABC check your local listings. For those of you don’t know about the best show on television here is some information:
The series takes place in the fictional seaside town of Storybrooke, Maine, which acts like a parallel universe in which the residents are actually characters from various and well known fairy tales that were transported to the ‘real world’ town by a powerful curse. Its only hope lies with a bail bondswoman, Emma Swan, who was transported from the fairy tale realm before she could be cursed. As such, she is the only person who can break the curse and restore the character’s magical memories, aided by her son, Henry, who has a book of fairy tales that holds the key to ending the curse.
Each episode focuses on a character back story. One segment details their life in the Enchanted Forest that, when serialized, adds a piece to the puzzle about the characters and their connection to the events that lead up to how the curse began and consequences that it can bring. The other, set in the present day, follows a similar pattern with a different outcome but also offers the same consequences.
So season was so amazing because you couldn’t tell whether it was a movie or a tv show the creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz wanted to tell the stories we all know and love but in a all new way without over doing it and I think they have done a very nice job of telling a story but with a new way of telling the story.
Here is a inside sneak peak of the season two premiere from wetpaint entertainment:
- The opening scene will leave you saying “WTF?” in the best way.
- We hope you aren’t attached to meek and mild David (Josh Dallas) and Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin), because the Charmings are back to their kickbutt selves.
- Throw away everything you think you know about Sleeping Beauty (Sarah Bolger) and Mulan (Jamie Chung). This is a whole new take on both stories.
- We can pretty much guarantee Regina fans are going to love this episode. So will people who love to hate her.
- If you’re anything like us, guest star Julian Morris will steal your heart as Prince Phillip.
- The Rumbelle scenes hinted at here are everything Belle (Emilie de Ravin)/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) shippers could want.
- Who is Dr. Whale [David Anders]? isn’t just a question fans are wondering about.
- Someone learns that keeping strictly to the word of a promise isn’t always enough.
- Emma (Jennifer Morrison) will do anything for Henry (Jared Gilmore), and she proves it in a surprising way.
- Choice quote: “The one thing no one can escape: Destiny.”
Info on Regina:
Not so popular. Spoiler alert guys: The people of Storybrooke are NOT happy with Regina now that they have their memories back. Shocking, we know. As we see in this sneak peek, a mob will quickly track Regina down at home during the premiere, and she soon ends up behind bars. Lana Parrilla also told us that Regina will have “zero” friends left in Storybrooke. Not even Henry Mills (Jared Gilmore)?
The trouble with magic. While Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) has brought magic to Storybrooke, it works differently in our world, and as we see in this sneak peek, Regina doesn’t get the hang of it right away. Lana told us that Regina “gains a different kind of power, not the one that you so think. She’s almost enlightened in a different way.”
Redemption in the air? Lana has also said Regina is “on the path to redemption” in Season 2. We know this season is supposed to have redemption as a theme; we can’t wait to see how Regina’s story ties into that.
Backstory galore! You want Regina backstory? Good, ’cause you’re going to get it. The flashback portion of Season 2, Episode 2: “We Are Both” will focus on how Regina learned magic, and will also include how she first met Rumplestiltskin. We also know that Regina’s dead true love Daniel (Noah Bean) will make an appearance at some point in the season, and we’ll also see more of her evil mother, Cora (Barbara Hershey). We also know she has some sort of history with Dr. Whale (David Anders), which will be revealed in Season 2, Episode 5: “The Doctor.”

Wetpaint Entertainment: So magic has come to Storybrooke, what challenges can we expect now?
Jennifer Morrison: You know everything has changed and the world is upside down for Emma. Not that she is Alice in Wonderland but in a sense that she feels like Alice in Wonderland who has gone down the rabbit hole. You know up is down and down is up and left is right and so her whole world is shaken up and she’s sort of kind of a new being. She’s born in a whole new way now and has to find a way to protect her son and protect her relationships with her family and develop them and figure out how to move forward without being so guarded and without keeping people out.
Will Emma be able to do magic in the second season?
You know it’s one of those things where it’s going to be a long process of discovery. Initially in the season it’s about dealing with the fact that magic has come at this moment and it’s going to take time to work that out and I think in her process of trying to keep everyone safe and trying to figure out what this means to the world you’re going to start discovering certain things she’s capable of and she’s going to start discovering certain things she’s capable of.
What can you tell us about a possible family reunion?
Yeah there is a family reunion and yeah, it’s complicated, I don’t know how else to put it, it’s just complicated.
Will we ever see Emma and Huntsman together again?
Oh you know it’s so funny our show seems to bring everyone back around and around and around so that’s something I can’t say!
Is there romance for her this season?
Absolutely there’s definitely romance coming.
