Wow!

Hey guys I need to let you guys know something: I am a christian and I ain’t scared to tell you. Now since we have that understood, check this out:

Charlie Fuqua, the Republican candidate for the Arkansas House of Representatives who called for expelling Muslims from the United States in his book, also wrote in support for instituting the death penalty for “rebellious children.”

In “God’s Law,” Fuqua’s 2012 book, the candidate wrote that while parents love their children, a process could be set up to allow for the institution of the death penalty for “rebellious children,” according to the Arkansas Times. Fuqua, who is anti-abortion, points out that the course of action involved in sentencing a child to death is described in the Bible and would involve judicial approval. While it is unlikely that many parents would seek to have their children killed by the government, Fuqua wrote, such power would serve as a way to stop rebellious children.

According to the Arkansas Times, Fuqua wrote:

The maintenance of civil order in society rests on the foundation of family discipline. Therefore, a child who disrespects his parents must be permanently removed from society in a way that gives an example to all other children of the importance of respect for parents. The death penalty for rebellious children is not something to be taken lightly. The guidelines for administering the death penalty to rebellious children are given in Deut 21:18-21:

This passage does not give parents blanket authority to kill their children. They must follow the proper procedure in order to have the death penalty executed against their children. I cannot think of one instance in the Scripture where parents had their child put to death. Why is this so? Other than the love Christ has for us, there is no greater love then [sic] that of a parent for their child. The last people who would want to see a child put to death would be the parents of the child. Even so, the Scrpture provides a safe guard to protect children from parents who would wrongly exercise the death penalty against them. Parents are required to bring their children to the gate of the city. The gate of the city was the place where the elders of the city met and made judicial pronouncements. In other words, the parents were required to take their children to a court of law and lay out their case before the proper judicial authority, and let the judicial authority determine if the child should be put to death. I know of many cases of rebellious children, however, I cannot think of one case where I believe that a parent had given up on their child to the point that they would have taken their child to a court of law and asked the court to rule that the child be put to death. Even though this procedure would rarely be used, if it were the law of land, it would give parents authority. Children would know that their parents had authority and it would be a tremendous incentive for children to give proper respect to their parents.

In the same book, Fuqua advocated for expelling Muslims from the U.S., saying it would solve what he described as the “Muslim problem.” Fuqua, who has been backed by the state GOP and is seeking a comeback, has found himself under attack by Republicans since his comments surfaced at the same time it was reported that state Rep. Jon Hubbard (R-Jonesboro) endorsed slavery in his book. Fuqua told the Associated Press that he was surprised by the reaction to his writings on Muslims.

“I think my views are fairly well-accepted by most people,” Fuqua said to AP.

Fuqua declined to answer questions from The Huffington Post.

“I’m not going to talk to you,” he said before hanging up.

On his campaign blog, Fuqua highlights his service on the Children and Families Committee while a member of the Arkansas Legislature in 1997. He also describes liberals and Muslims as the “anti-Christ” and says he believes they are conspiring to create a “bloody revolution.”

“There is a strange alliance between the liberal left and the Muslim religion. It may be that since both are the enemies of Christianity, that they both believe that, my enemy’s enemy is my friend,” Fuqua writes. “However there are several similarities between the two. Both are antichrist in that they both deny that Jesus is God in the flesh of man, and the savior of mankind. They both also hold that their cause should take over the entire world through violent, bloody, revolution.”

Now I don’t get rildup up much but this does because first off Wow! and seconed death for rebellious children their is a way to discipline children but it all starts at home be the example you would want your childern to be if they are  rebellious look who they go it from just saying.  Now this is on KATV channel 7’s facebook page and it is getting a lot of comments here are some of them:

Michelle Liles- He’s an idiot! Let’s execute him! I’m sure he wasn’t a perfect angel, I mean he did become a politician

Chris Hicks- Kelly, if you look at David’s posts in this thread alone, you’d see he keeps mentioning race when it has nothing to do with the topic. My observation was valid. Maybe you could follow your own advice and bring something useful to the table.

Lena Mancini-  This is madness! Does Mr. Fuqua have any children of his own? He needs prayer!

Braylon Lee -You forgot some of that scripture: but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. And if that was true you, kelly and a lot of people would be dead right now because we have all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD. But read the whole scripture: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
So when we accept JESUS CHRIST into our lives we are cleansed from all of our sins because JESUS went to die on the cross for our sins.

Braylon Lee – and Deuteronomy 21:18-21 that verse was in the old Testament and GOD Alpha, Omega And I am talking about The GOD not what you believe in David and Kelly does not believe in killing because one of the ten commandments is Thou shalt not kill.. If you actually did your research GOd sent his son JESUS to die for us so we would not have to die for our sins.

Charles Nichols-  God never implied the execution of children!!! Actually, we are instructed to PROTECT the children however…, I don’t believe a few smacks on the ass when they’re really out of line will get a parent thrown into hell.

Sharon ShaBabii Moore-  @Braylon Lee…I couldnt of said it better myself!!! And so what if the Huffington Post is a “liberal mouth piece” for the Democratic party…everyone is not a republican & besides everyone has their own opinion BUT I HAVE 3 DAUGHTERS & I WISH ANYBODY WOULD TRY TO EVEN HURT THEM…IT WOULD GET UGLY SO I’M NOT GONE EVEN PAINT THAT PIC FOR U!! JUST NONSENSE ANY WAY U LOOK AT IT…CHILDREN ARE BLESSINGS FROM GOD…SMH @ SOME PEOPLE {OUT OF CONTEXT OR NOT}

Renee Haynes-  I have 2 wonderful kids that at times say something disrespectful. At this time I discipline them but would never say here I’m done with them do whatever you want to with them!

Felisha Marie Brewer-  if parents would strictly teach respect they will receive it in return! Im a mother of 3 and my kids respect me and their elders! you need GOD! IM PRAYING FOR YOU AND ANY OTHERS WHO BELIEVE THIS WAY! GOD WILL PERSAVERE.!

Heather Pratt Runyan- Let’s see, why do most kids that end up in the correctional system end up there? Because the adults in thier lives failed them!! You can’t put society’s problems on the backs of children. I don’t care how out of context that comment was taken, it was wrong! You want your children to respect you, then you start teaching and guiding them from the time they are infants.

Brian Dub HiLl – He should die for disrespecting kids like this. No kids life is worth them disobeying there parents. I bet when he was a kid he did stuff that was disrespectful. Oh wait he still is doing stuff that is disrespectful just saying……….

Kari Hulsey Ford – Seriously wtf??? Execute children?? An adult has to set on death row 10+ years before execution for murder rape etc….. but he wants to execute children for being disobedient!!! There wouldn’t be any children left!!!

Brandi Erwin-  He should definitely be “removed” from society.

Deanna Owen Shumate-  Did Mr Fuqua never misbehave as a child?

Jennifer Ann Morgan-  And the man has lost his mind. Many tines the reason a child is disobedient towards their parents is because the parent doesn’t try to control them, or doesn’t give them any attention so the child lashes out to get attention.

Angela Rhodes-  Omg! We don’t need a person with this mentality in our governmental system.

Lulu Garrett – What an idiot, does he even have children and If so I’m sure they were disobedient at some time. So he will have to kill his own.

Jennifer Orr-  Nobody would ever make it to adulthood because everyone disrespects their parents at least once in their life.

Marilyn Hill-  This is crazy!!! Those kids should be spanked and put in place. There is a fine line between fear and respect. If they are to fear punishment given by laws they must first fear the rath of there parents. Spare the rod spoil the child! What does spoil mean people? When meat is spoiled it is no longer of any use!!!!!!! Whip that butt!!!!

By the way did I mention that Charlie Fuqua is running for state office and is challenging for a seat in the Batesville area. WOW!!! Right this man should not be running nor be on the ballot and if that was not enough check this out: Jonesboro area Republican Representative Jon Hubbard’s book drew criticism.  Hubbard argued slavery was a blessing in disguise in his book, “Letters to the Editor: Confessions of a Conservative,” he wrote, “The institution of slavery that the black race has long believed to be an abomination upon its people may actually have been a blessing in disguise.  The blacks who could endure those conditions…would someday be rewarded with citizenship in the greatest nation ever established on the face of the earth.” He is also running for state office Jon Hubbard.

Fuqua’s opponent, Batesville area Democratic Representative James McLean and Hubbard’s challenger Harold Copenhaver say voters should judge the comments themselves, “It’s beyond shocking, it’s beyond outrageous.”  Rep McLean says, “I think it should disqualify anyone from running for or serving in any type of public office.”

The Republican Party of Arkansas condemned the comments made by Hubbard and Fuqua and a spokeswoman says they will not contribute more money to either man’s campaign, but she declined to comment on camera or say whether the party still endorses the candidates.

Chris Hicks- David, that’s the silliest thing I’ve heard all morning. Can you back that up with any facts? And I mean real facts. Not Fox news “some people say” facts.

So what do you think? leave me a comment I want to know what you have to say. Here is the link to the story: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/08/charlie-fuqua-arkansas-candidate-death-penalty-rebellious-children_n_1948490.html
